Gweta Online
Terms
The agreement between you and Uhuru Innovative when you use Gweta Online.
Draft under legal review — not yet in effect. Questions in the meantime go to info@uhuruinnovative.com.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Uhuru Innovative Solutions (Pvt) Ltd (“we”, “us”), which operates Gweta Online (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you use the service for a firm or other organisation, you accept them for that organisation too, and confirm you are authorised to do so.
How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy page, which forms part of these terms.
2. What the service is
Gweta Online is a research and drafting tool for legal professionals. It answers questions from a corpus of Zimbabwean judgments, legislation and statutory instruments, searches documents your firm uploads, runs structured workflows and produces drafts.
The corpus is incomplete and still being built. The corpus section of our home page states what it currently covers. An answer can only be as complete as the material behind it.
3. It is not legal advice
The service does not give legal advice and does not replace professional judgment. Output can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, even where it cites authority. Citations are checked against the corpus before display, but that confirms only that an authority exists and was retrieved. It does not confirm that the authority says what the answer claims, or that it is still good law.
You are responsible for checking anything you rely on against the primary sources, and for all advice you give and documents you file.
4. Your account
- Give accurate details, and keep them current.
- Keep your sign-in secure, and do not share your account with anyone else.
- If you administer an organisation, you are responsible for the people you invite and what they do with the service.
- Tell us promptly at info@uhuruinnovative.com if you think your account has been misused.
5. Your content
Questions, documents, instructions and other material you put into the service remain yours, as does the output produced for you. You give us permission to store and process that material only as needed to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy page. We do not use it to train AI models.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload. That includes meeting any duty of confidentiality you owe to clients and any conditions under which you received the material.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or upload material you have no right to share;
- extract the corpus, its annotations or the authority graph in bulk, whether by scraping, automated querying or otherwise;
- copy, reverse-engineer or resell the service, or use it to build a competing one;
- circumvent usage limits, security controls or the separation between organisations;
- upload malicious code, or interfere with the service or other users.
7. Our material
The software, the way the corpus is assembled and structured, and the annotations and authority graph built over it belong to us or our licensors. We claim nothing over the law itself: judgments and legislation remain free for anyone to use from their original sources.
8. Price and usage limits
The service is free while pricing is agreed with the first firms using it in practice. We will give clear notice before anything starts to bill, and nothing will be charged without your agreement. To keep the service available to everyone, we apply reasonable limits on how much each account can use it in a given period.
9. Availability and change
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you rely on, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
10. Liability
The service is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not set out in these terms. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of profit, business, data or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising from the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for it in that period, or US$100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or to protect the service or other users. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you the chance to retrieve your content. Sections 3, 5, 7 and 10 continue after the agreement ends.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Zimbabwe. The courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change, we will tell account holders by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you continue to use the service after that, you accept the change.
